New Lamborghini Gallardo in the UK :: Sep 9, 2010

The latest version of the Lamborghini Gallardo, unveiled at this year's Geneva Show, goes on display at Lamborghini's Birmingham, Edinburgh, London and Manchester outlets later this month.

Replacing the original Gallardo, which was introduced in 2003, the new LP560-4 is 20kg lighter than before and also produces more power thanks to a new five-litre V12 engine. The maximum output is 560bhp, 40bhp up on the previous car, and this leads to a top speed of over 200mph and a 0-62mph time of 3.7 seconds. Despite all that, Lamborghini claims that fuel economy and CO2 emissions have improved by 18%.

Four-wheel drive is standard, and thanks to a suspension redesign the new car is said to have better stability at high speeds.

The new Gallardo costs £147,330, which includes delivery and the cost of a NavTrak vehicle tracking system. UK customer deliveries are expected to start later in the summer.
